“SHADOW” REVIEW

FullSizeRender(10).jpg

Hi! It’s the third week already! So the ninth book I’ve read is “Shadow” by Michael Morpurgo. The book is about a teenage boy (Amen) who lived in an Afghan cave. But one day a Springer Spaniel shows up at the mouth of his cave. “The dog becomes a constant companion, a shadow, and that’s what Amen wants to call her”. But life for Amen and his mother becomes more dangerous every day and so eventually Amen, Shadow and his mother leave. Shadow leads them away to different countries but how far will she go? This book is incredibly moving and especially sad in parts, but I really like Michael Morpurgo but this book isn’t really for younger readers but probably a 10+. after this book, I think that Michel Morpurgo has ascended to my top 4 favorite authors!
